The experience in the balloon was amazing!!! Our time was so special, including the luxury breakfast with champagne. We had a great view over Serengeti NP and learned a lot from CJ. He was so funny but also a real professional!! It was expensive but worth it!

Unreal experience! So well done with everyone being beyond kind and welcoming to our group! The pick up was clean and courteous, the bathrooms the cleanest on the whole safari experience, coffee and homemade cookies before the balloon and Pilot Tembo Jones made us all feel relaxed and at ease. Smoothest landing ever and a champagne breakfast in a beautiful filed afterwards! Life changing

We were lucky enough to fly with this company as part of our honeymoon.

Upon arrival at our Serengeti hotel as part of our safari we were met by some of the Flying Odyssey team and we were able to book for the following morning. We were able to pay by card.

We were collected at 4am. The drive to the launch site was an experience in itself as it was like getting a bonus night time game drive. We saw several animals including lots of lions having a zebra for breakfast. (I won't include a picture of the poor zebra). We couldn't believe how active they were, just minutes from the door of our hotel!

When we reached the launch site there was coffee, tea and hot chocolate as well as biscuits. There were heat lamps and proper flushing toilets and an outdoor sink with warm water to wash your hands.

After enjoying our drinks we got a detailed safety briefing as the sun rose over the serengeti. We were given belts to put round our waists that would clip in to another one in the basket. For take off the basket is horizontal and you climb in and sit on a bench. You're in a seated position, but horizontal and holding on to handles in front of you.

The launch was a bit bumpy due to jt being a breezy morning, then we were up, up and away! The views were incredible. Our captain, CJ, was eagle-eyed when it came to spotting animals and he was very knowledgeable and entertaining. When they said we'd been up for an hour I couldn't believe how fast the time had flown. We had to get into the same position as launch for landing. The landing was very smooth. We were then driven to the team's base camp where we had a full cooked bush breakfast complete with champagne! The team went above and beyond for a passenger whose birthday it was, even providing a cake for them! The breakfast was delicious. Eggs were cooked to order and the rest was buffet style. Again, the toilets nearby where flushing toilets with sinks to wash your hands. We can't say anything bad about this experience. It was the absolute highlight of our honeymoon, and we didn't even know we would have the opportunity of it until the night before! I wish I'd taken more photos but I was too busy enjoying myself. Incredible experience. We were nervous passengers on our first balloon flight. CJ made us very comfortable. The team are so professional and expert - safety briefing, flight, landing, bush breakfast - really faultless. Difficult to believe any provider could match their standards. Thank you!

We had the most incredible experience this morning with Flying Odyssey. This is something new and wonderful, to experience a Safari from above, is something of a dream come true.

The personalized experience, the catering, the atmosphere and the obvious interests the entire teams takes in you, are just some of the wonders of these company.

The Captain was extremely well organized, and informative. He gave just enough information to ease the nerves of those who were newcomers and he guided us through the journey with ease. Definitely not all Balloon Safaris are the same, and Flying Odyssey proved that today. This felt well like a first class experience.

I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone looking to try something new and to break the order of the status quo in the Safari ecosystem.

Was my second time to do the balloon, This was one was different experience from the pick up , drop off, breakfast and the most of it was the Pilot engagement , very charming , you can't get tired listen to him. Thank you for this experience , I will definitely do it again and recommend people

What an incredible experience! We were lucky enough to fly with the newest hot air balloon company in Serengeti. The company is called 'Flying Odyssey,' and it truly lived up to its name. Our pickup was early since our lodge was about an hour and a half away from the balloon launch site. When we got there, they had tea, coffee, and some snacks ready for us. They even had a heater (in the middle of nowhere) to keep us cozy. The manager, Percy, was such a fantastic character. We got to watch the balloon being set up, and we learned that it was just our family flying, which made it feel like a private flight. That really made a difference!

CJ, our pilot, introduced himself and provided us with a detailed safety briefing. His instructions were clear and easy to follow. We got into the basket before the balloon was upright, so just a heads up on that. Once we took off, we could stand and take in the views. The sunrise was breathtaking. CJ even spotted animals from a distance! "His eyesight is incredible." Definitely must be eating a lot of carrots! He was both informative and hilarious at the same time.

After soaring for more than an hour, we smoothly touched down, which was a pleasant surprise given the wind speeds we encountered. Well done! Once we climbed out of the basket, we were escorted to the breakfast spot, nestled under a lovely tree near the balloon camp. (By the way, we flew right over it during our journey). We kicked things off with a Champagne toast while CJ shared some cool ballooning history. Breakfast was absolutely divine. The coffee, wow! The Avocado Toast was just incredible. Everyone on the staff was super friendly and welcoming. We had an amazing time and will definitely recommend your company and team to our extended family when they come to visit in November.
